A woman teacher at a public school in Puertollano (Ciudad Real, Spain) slapped a four-year-old boy who is hyperactive.
As a result of the slap, the boy suffered a bruise on his cheekbone and a slight excoriation on his neck. His parents took him to the hospital and filed a complaint. The mother said she did not want to file a complaint, "but the teacher did not want to apologise".
The Ciudad Real court sentenced her to a fine of 720 euros for a minor injury offence. Read more.
