In 2020, a newspaper published a report on bars during the Covid pandemic. The newspaper photographed a woman in the street and published her image without her consent.

Several photographs were published together, but hers was a close-up.

The woman sued the newspaper for violating her right to privacy and her own image. She lost in court in Ourense (Spain), but was successful in the Provincial Court, forcing the newspaper to pay the woman 2,500 euros in damages. Read more
