The Court of Seville sentenced SegurCaixa Adeslas Seguros y Reaseguros to pay 175,800 euros for the death of a baby in a clinic in Seville.
At 08:00 hours on 4 June 2016, the 33-year-old pregnant woman "communicated via WhatsApp to her gynaecologist that she had noticed as if a balloon was being pricked in her belly" and "that the gynaecologist told her" also via WhatsApp that "she was preparing for childbirth and to stay at home". But the pregnant woman did not wait any longer and on her own initiative went to the clinic that same night at 00:20 hours, "with a ruptured bag". The baby died as a result of a septic condition.
