The Military Chamber of the Spanish Supreme Court has sentenced five army sergeants to one year in prison for the offence of harassment at work and professional harassment of a female sergeant.
The events occurred in the Mistral Battery of the Field Artillery Regiment 93 (RACA 93) in Tenerife, where they worked, in 2015 and 2016.
The Supreme Court agrees with the Prosecutor's Office and the victim, against the sentence of the Fifth Territorial Military Court of 30 October 2020, which released the five accused.
The proven facts of the sentence state that the victim began to receive jokes, humiliation and contempt from the five defendants, who questioned her training and professionalism, creating a general atmosphere of criticism and repeated mockery towards her. Read more.
