The High Court of Justice of Galicia has punished a man for suggesting sexual acts to a female colleague in order to get a promotion.
The Court considers this to be a very serious verbal act of sexual harassment, even if it was a one-off, unpublicised comment.
The employee made comments via the Teams application addressed to the woman responsible for work distribution, saying that she could get a promotion by having sex.
According to the Court, it is the employer who has the power to impose the sanction on the employee, within the margin established by law. Read more.
