The second section of the Provincial Court of Valencia has sentenced a woman to pay a fine of 1,260 euros for making offensive comments on the social network Twitter to her ex-partner in order to discredit him at work. He is a bank employee.
The events date back to December 2016 and January 2017, when the convicted woman posted several messages on her Twitter account with the intention of "offending the dignity and professional prestige of a bank employee and discrediting the victim".
The sentence adds that, even though she knew it was a lie, she published that her former partner was making her life miserable, that he had emptied his accounts and that he had forged the signature. She quoted in a tweet the entity he worked for and published that the bank was covering up for an abuser and managers who abused their position to humiliate their own families. Read more
